Makerspace Design

You’re basically a professional designer now, right? Show us what you can do! Confident makers come to Makerspace Design ready to push their creativity and knowledge even further with a brain full of brilliant ideas.

What is a Makerspace? It’s a collaborative setting where students learn to explore their imaginations and design their ideas. Picture a science lab, woodshop, computer lab, and art studio all blended together for a hands-on educational experience.

In-Person: Meets in Lehi or Tooele, Utah. Space is limited.

What you will learn

  • How to unlock your creative potential

  • Understand design thinking methodology and skills

  • How to connect science, technology, engineering, art, and math as you learn to create solutions to interesting problems

  • Using your imagination, tools, and materials – we can’t wait to see what you will invent!

  • Required $50 materials fee, payable to the lab and reimbursable from Technology Allowance

  • An open and curious mind

  • Ability to travel to and from one of our Makerspace locations.

  • Limited space is available. Add to Schedule Builder to register. Only an approved schedule will reserve a spot.

  • Note: Only available to non-diploma seeking students

Q: How will I know when and where my classes are being held?

The time and general location will be available in Schedule Builder. Once you have signed up for the class, you will receive an email from the Makerspace host facility with details.
