Running Club

2020-21

In the Running Club, we form teams and have some fun while we run! Students will be able to set and meet personal goals and club goals. We will also plan and participate in virtual 5k/10ks, virtual marathons, and a My Tech High wide fitness challenge. It doesn’t matter what fitness level you’re currently at, running and exercise are for everyone! If you are looking to improve your fitness and get into running for fun and fitness, this is the club for you!

Students will set a goal to run a distance of their choice. Students will submit a photo or video clip of their event. On the last day of the club, we will watch a compilation of student submissions.

9:00-9:30 am MST

Team 2 Session A-Aug. 31-Oct. 5

Team 3 Session D-Feb. 2-March 29
9:00-9:30 am MST

Team 4 Session D-Feb. 21-March 29
9:30-10:00 am MST

Material will repeat in Sessions A and D.

Membership Requirements

  • Parents will need to supervise the safety of their children while running Parents may need to help students track their miles if desired (again, tracking miles is not mandatory) Parents and families are welcome to join in the fun!

  • Students will set a goal to run a distance of their choice.

  • Students will submit a photo or video clip of their event.
