Optional Homeroom Resource
TIME Edge is a digital current-events resource for primarily grades 6-8. Updated weekly, it’s is a rich source of informational text, multimedia content, and teaching tools developed to boost reading comprehension and build knowledge across subject area. TIME Edge features two reading levels; audio read-aloud; Spanish translation; paired texts; access to thousands of primary sources through the TIME Vault; and printables for parents to use in lessons.
TIME Edge is designed to create fluid learning experience that places the concepts students are learning across the curriculum in the context of the real world. Imagine following election coverage while teaching women’s suffrage in social studies, studying history’s most influential speeches in ELA, and learning about global warming in science.
TIME Edge is an Optional Homeroom Resource and must be requested in InfoCenter.
